Our first week working with the letter "A" we made apples on a stick. That was so exciting for Selena as she got to use actual glue instead of the glue stick. She loves to pretend she is eating the apple. After we made the apple on the stick we took a walk only to discover that just around the block from us is an apple tree. Selena talked about apple trees constantly, so I came up with the idea to finalize our unit on "A" by making our own apple tree. Then remember from my previous post Selena discovered the Ant to which she had a full conversation with. I found the most adorable (if you want to think of ants as adorable hmmm) stickers of ants, so I decided to allow her to put ants on her apple tree too. She had a blast counting all the Apples and all the Ants. (you might have to click on the picture to get a larger one to view the ants should you want to)
