In my life this week…
It’s actually been a while since I joined in on The Homeschool Mother’s Journal. I am probably a bit too tired to really be typing this, considering I was woke up at 1:30 a.m. by Selena because there were creepy things in her bedroom. Upon further investigation we discovered the creepy things were my wind chimes that are hanging on the back porch. We’ve been trying to figure out why she wouldn’t stay in her bedroom at night, now we know why. After all this, I laid in bed and couldn’t fall back to sleep, figures.
I am quite excited as we broke down and ordered all new bedroom décor for both our bedroom and Selena’s room. I am so anxious to get it. I think this will be the first time ever that I will actually have a complete comforter set, including all the little décor pillows for my bed.
My sweet husband also bought me a new camera. Now I am just waiting for it to arrive. While I love my current camera, the small latch flap that holds the batteries in has been broken for sometime. Recently the entire cover fell off in two pieces, I was able to put it back together, but we questioned how long it would actually hold up.
In our homeschool this week…
Selena has been having fun discovering all the new things she can read. She also is doing a lot more writing, and has discovered that she can even solve some of the math problems on her Nintendo Ds all by herself. She is already planning on making lots of Valentines for Papa while he is gone on his business trip, he will probably come home to find lots of darling hearts and notes from her.
My favorite thing this week was…
Listening to Selena worry over signing up for T-Ball. Her words were, “I can’t do T-Ball, because I don’t know how to play it.” We assured her that they will teach her how to play.
I’m praying for…
Still praying for my friend. The family met with the doctors Wednesday morning. Let’s just say the doctors are not that encouraging about her condition and want to remove her from life support, the family hasn’t updated us with the final decision at this point, but I know they are praying for a miracle.

So cute about t-ball.
ReplyDeleteYou must be excited for the new camera.
That last picture is so precious.
ReplyDeleteAt some point I need to actually make our bedroom look "pretty." It's all set up, but it doesn't look lived in, unless you count clutter. Which I don't.
Cute photo! Good to see you back a bit. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
ReplyDeleteLove this last picture. How exciting to get a new camera. I am still trying to convince Lars to give me his new camera for my upcoming trip to Israel.
