2011 Gratitude Challenge

Today, November 2, 2011, I am thankful for the gentle peace that only comes from God. For two weeks I have been filled with many unpleasant emotions. I woke this morning to a very quiet house, and from within that quietness God spoke to me.

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world ---John 16:33

As these words reminded me that my problems may have been that of the world, I have the opportunity of peace by taking them to Him, and through Him peace will be poured upon me. Thank you Jesus!

Another thing I was very thankful for today, Selena has been sick with a cold and then a touch of flu. As she laid for two days not herself at all, and running a slight fever, we prayed for healing. Just as I thought a visit to the doctor would be needed, she awoke this morning bouncing back to herself, no fever, appetite back and yes pushing the limits of our house rules, now that must mean she is feeling better.

Stop over by Garden of Learning and share what you are thankful for.

  1. I love that quietness, it's a fleeting thing, but I love it.

  2. So glad Selena has bounced back! I hate not knowing... do we need to see a doctor? Give it more time? It is always such a thrill to see that decisions are no longer needed!

  3. I am glad Selena is feeling better. I am very miserable with a heavy head cold that is going for a while and thankful that Anna and Lars are OK so far
