Not Much Schooling This Week

I am happy to report that when we took Selena in for her follow up with her Pediatrician, everything looks great! Both spots are healing very nicely now with no signs of anymore infection pockets building up under the skin. We will be continuing with Clorox baths, bacterium cream and antibiotics for about 7 more days. Her Pediatrician did not feel we would have any set backs in the healing process. She was however very concerned about what happened at the hospital, and like us was not real happy.

With that said, this week has just not been a week for much schooling. First of all it has taken Selena until yesterday to fully get those medications out of her system and become our little Selena again. Yesterday it was so nice to have her climb out of bed with a huge smile on her face and to actually have a day where we didn’t feel like all we were doing was arguing. It is so nice to just say she is back.

I hope to get some formal schooling or an art project in today and if we do I will be sure to post about it. That is one thing I truly love about homeschooling is there is no stress about getting back to school, nor worrying about falling behind. Selena has learned a lot through this experience, she has shown so much of her skills, strengths and weaknesses. I would say all and all this experience has proven to draw us closer with more understanding of where we will go from here in many areas of our studies.

Thank you to all of my readers for your thoughtful comments of concern, prayers, hugs and best wishes. We have appreciated them all.
