I am so happy that Mouse Grows Mouse Learns is giving us all the opportunity to share our favorite books with each other. This is my first time to post so I thought I would just post the two must haves in our house.
These two books have been all time classics in our home. I read them to my older children and now are sharing them with Selena. Every week we have a new Bible story which we read out of the Beginner's Bible. I just love how the stories and illustrations are kept to a level that kids love and find interesting.
The Children's Book of Virtues seen my kids through many everyday issues. It teaches simple virtues to guide a child through life. Selena enjoys hearing the stories and looking at the pictures. I like the fact that this book is good for most any age, it just seems to grow with your child.
Great bible! :)
ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to check out The Children's Book of virtues.
ReplyDeleteI have also been searching for a good Children's Bible. Thank you for sharing both of these!
I saw The Book of Virtues in the bookstore and wanted to check it out. Thanks for reviewing it - I think I am going to put it on my wish list for Anna.
ReplyDeleteThanks for both of these reviews, it sounds like both books are worth looking into.
ReplyDeleteWe have that Bible and LOVE it. It is definitely one of the best out there for toddlers and preschoolers (if not THE best)! And I have heard of William Bennet's (love him) book - thank you for reminding me of it; I'll have to see if our library has a copy.
