How Do We Know God Is Really There Review

We received the book How Do We Know God Is Really There? by Melisa Cain Travis from Apolgia to review. When the book arrived we were very excited to read it. The description we had going into this book was that it was a picture book, believe me it is much more then a picture book. We enjoyed the illustrations, and they truly supported the story in the book very well.

The author has done a very good job describing how science can truly prove that God exists. The story begins with a father and son who enjoys spending their evenings in a tree house looking at stars and planets. The son has had his first encounter with a friend who’s family does not believe there is a God. Dad does an excellent job using their favorite hobby to help his son to believe in their faith as well as a tool to teach others.

What did Selena think of the book? She loved it and has read it many times. It has taken it’s rightful place among her favorite books. I love how she was able to explain the entire book to me even drawing her own illustrations on the white book to go along with her explanation.

We highly recommend this book to anyone with a young child. This book would be great for K – 3rd grade. The book can be purchased at Apolgia for $16.00.

  1. I've been asked to look out for apologetic material for our Sunday school classes - though I prefer faith over reason. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for this one. The cover illustration is inviting.
