We’re Still Alive

I expected we would be back to school this week. Unfortunately I woke up Sunday morning with bronchitis. I’ve been on antibiotics since Monday so I feel like I am on the mend. We’ve been laying low, and seeing more signs of Spring coming to our area.

Selena finally found out what team she will be on for T-Ball. She cracked us up when we told her she would be on the White Socks team. She turned and told us, “I don’t know how to be a White Sock!” I was glad she got on a team that doesn’t have bright orange, or green in her uniform, considering her cleats and mitt have pink in them. Now we can go purchase her a pair of baseball pants since we know what color to buy.

I am getting ready to go away this weekend. My friend and I are going up North and take advantage of an over night stay, spa time, live music, good food and lots of laughs. I am sure we will have a lot of fun. It will also be a good time for Selena to just spend some time with her Papa.

While looking to see one more sign of Spring this morning, I discovered our first dandelions. Now I am not thrilled to see these pesky weeds in my yard, it is just yet another sign that Spring is in the air.

We also am seeing signs that the grass is beginning to grow again, one more reminder that Papa needs a new lawn mower. The horses are shedding their Winter coats and are doing a lot of running, bucking, and moving back down into the lower fields.

As for Selena, she is doing much better. We are still giving her breathing treatments once a day sometimes twice. She will go in next week for allergy testing. We should know more after that.

  3. Ugh on all the sickness, that would explain you being missing for so long.

You could just let the horses into your hard and they'd eat all the grass down :)

    Enjoy your weekend away!
