Papa and I had a great weekend get a way, thanks to our friend who offered to keep Selena. We met up with some good friends at the Casino and had a lovely dinner Saturday night. It was very nice to be away just the two of us with out Selena in tow. It was also very nice to have her in the care of our friend, and not for one minute worry about her. She had a blast too, going over to another friend’s house and playing with two twin girls about her age. Oh and I should say our weekend ended up being totally free. While I am not a gambler, I did play a penny machine and with a $20.00 investment (BIG Gambler) won enough to pay for our entire weekend and still bring home some extra pocket money.
It is good to be home, and at first while Selena was a little upset with us because we didn’t get over to pick her up as early as she thought we should, she was thrilled to get home and be a family again. I hope we are able to do this a little more often since it was good for all of us.
It is with a saddened heart though that I am asking for prayers. A very dear friend and mutual homeschooler here in the area started Chemo for Lymphoma last week, as of 12:30 last night she was put in ICU on respirator for complications from the Chemo.
So glad to hear about your romantic get away! I agree, it's good for all of you!
