Homeschool Hop #2

evensmallerversion

Kylie over at Our Worldwide Class hosts this Homeschool Hop, it is a fun way to learn more about each other, and our families. This week we are asked to talk, not about ourselves but our family.

It is hard to get a picture with all my family in it, since our older children live across the State from us. So first the pictures:

Michael, my best friend, and dearest husband is a hard worker, dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He is contracted by the State to provide Chemical Dependency Counseling to those involved with the Department of Corrections. He has worked both inside the prison walls and within the community. He is currently getting ready to go back to work within the prison walls. He has a lot of responsibility in his work, but does it with a lot of compassion, and a real concern for his clients. When he is not working he loves to just be with his family. He loves to fish, go for long drives, and be near the water. He is also very passionate about his sports, he loves to watch basketball, baseball, and football. He has a great sense of humor so there is seldom a dull moment in our house.

Kristi, is now 27 years old. Kristi is a beautiful young lady and has given us a beautiful grandchild. Now I don’t go much into the reason we have Selena, but I will explain just a little bit. Kristi was born with the cord wrapped around her neck 3 times at birth. It had been around her neck for sometime before she was born, and had started to attach itself to her windpipe. Basically she was having mini strokes from the cord cutting off the oxygen supply to her brain. This left Kristi really never being able to get beyond a 3rd grade level in school, and she has a very difficult time processing, and making good choices. That is it in a nutshell.

T.J. (Tim Jon) is 24 years old. He is passionate about cooking. He has finished management training through Sherri’s Restaurant and is waiting for a management position to open up. We are very proud of his accomplishments and his drive and motivation. He has a great zeal for life, enjoys camping, fishing, music, and writing. Look out when him and Michael are in the same room, as TJ seems to be the prankster, and can pull Michael right along on pulling his pranks. They get along really great!

Selena is 3 years old. You all know so much about her through my blog. I will add though, that she is a very out going and happy child. She has been this way from day 1. She loves to be around people, she is bright and loves to take the world in around her. She has really been a joy for us to have and to raise.
