Toys My Child Actually Play With

Adriana at My Bilingual Boys is hosting a carnival about the toys our children actually play with.

Selena’s favorite toys have always been manipulates. Right now her favorite toy is her Melissa & Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards.

415yOVlVEJL__SL500_AA280_  She spends hours building the different pictures on the boards, as well as sorting the colors and shapes. She loves to count how many she needs of a particular shape, then finding that many out of her pile and gently placing them where they are suppose to go.

She does these puzzles with very help from me. Sometimes all I have to do is reposition a piece  a little bit for her, but that is decreasing the more she plays with it.

    Thanks for linking up! We have some of those shape blocks but none of the patterns that go along with them. I will have to check that out. Right now he just uses them to make Transformers. (Big surprise. :)

    Mosaic pattern blocks were my daughter's favorite toy when she was Selena age.

    Joe and Hanna both like the pattern blocks too--with and without the patterns.

    A great toy for fun and learning.

    I am glad that Selena likes these blocks so much. Anna is so-so on hers, but lately she uses them to build something on her own, and I really like that.
