First Day Back

Selena was so excited to know we were going to go back to school today. She spent more time concentrating on her school work then ever before. I know the break did me some good, and I feel it has been good for her as well. She just couldn’t get enough of her workbook material, and even did some art. But she did not want any pictures taken…FUNNY girl!

Selena of course can count to 10, but she had fun counting up to 10 and then counting backwards from 10 to 1. From here she wanted to get her calendar down and count from it. She counted on her calendar all the way to 31, but then decided that was too many numbers to count backwards from so instead she went back to this page and counted backwards from 10 again.

Top-1 Selena always loves to do these pages of matching pictures.

Top-4

These two pages came out of the workbook that Natalie at Mouse Grows Mouse Learns gave her for Christmas. She loved not only having something different to work on, but these are a bit more challenging and I do believe she loved the challenge.

Top-6 Selena had fun reading from her first McGuffy’s Reader. We worked on the first lesson. Selena already knows how to read these simple sentences, but she enjoyed reading them over and over again.

We had a great day back in school! We look forward to getting back into the swing of things here on this end.

We were back today as well, but slowed down a bit due to mom pulling a back muscle:-(.

I hope the rest of your week goes just as well for both of you.
