Little Bear, What Will Little Bear Wear?

Littlebear

It’s been a while since we have participated in STart hosted by A Mother’s Adventure so this week I decided we were going to do something. I read Selena the story, “What Will Little Bear Wear?” from Little Bear, by Else Holmelund Minarik. It is a cute little story about a little bear who discovers how cold it is out in the snow. Each time he tells him mom he is cold she makes him something to wear to stay warm. I cut out a little bear, a hat, a coat, and boots. When I told Selena we were going to make a little bear, she just had to wear her cubbie uniform.

Ok back to our STart project. I placed everything we would need on the table and had Selena glue her bear to a piece of white paper. I again read the story and as we did Selena glued the clothing on her bear in order. We used boots instead of snow pants, but she didn’t mind. Then she drew some gray clouds in the sky.

To see what others are doing in STart come on over to A Mommy’s Adventure. Join in the fun while you are there!

  1. Oh, you just reminded me of the Little Bear books! I LOVED them as a little girl! I have many fond memories of those books, they have just all stuck in my head for some reason. I remember really liking the illustrations. It's so great that you are sharing these with Selena, and it looks like she had a really good time! I love that cubbie uniform, lol!

  7. Cute project, and I never heard about the book. Judging from the comments above, I am the only one, probably because I didn't grow up here. I'll make sure to look for it in the library.
