stART Moon Cookies

I have been excited to do this stART project this week. I could hardly wait to get it going to see just how Selena would like it, or maybe to see if I would enjoy it! Anyway here we go:

We chose a book by Lisa Shulman, The Moon Might Be Milk.

100_1705 Selena was very excited to read this book again, and now she knew something fun was in store as I had already set up everything we needed for our stART project.

The story is about a little girl who wants to know what the moon is made of. She soon discovers that everyone has their own opinion of what they think the moon is made of.

100_1706The cat thought it was made of milk!

100_1707

The hen thought it was an egg!

100_1708

The butterfly thought it was sugar!

The dog thought it was butter!

The mouse thought it was flour!

When Grandma was asked, she just mixed all the ingredients!

Now I am not going to share the recipe, you have to go get the book to discover that for yourself. I know your kids will love this book, it is such a cute story with great illustrations. Anyway here is what we came up with!
