Autumn Colors Open Ended Art

small-blog-button

Selena always looks forward to Open Ended Art. This morning was no different, she watched with anticipation and excitement as I prepared the materials. The theme this week was Autumn colors Red, Orange, Yellow, and Brown. I used this time to reintroduce patterns with Selena. I took construction paper and cut all the colors into strips. I made the first pattern to show Selena what we were doing. She was a little apprehensive at first, but soon caught on.  Now she did most of the work, all I did was the taping for her, as the tape stuck to her fingers and she was having a hard time getting it in the place she wanted, darn I should have used stickers, those she would have done great with!

Wow! It makes a perfect necklace!

Come on over to Growing and Learning by Leaps and Bounds to see what others are creating and please join in the fun yourself!

Any plans for your paper chain? She looks too cute with her finished chain, by the way!
