The Changing of The Leaves

This morning Selena noticed that the leaves outside are changing ever so colorful. I decided an art project was in need. We started out by making green leaves using green paint and a cookie cutter.

She truly enjoyed this and made many green leaves. Finally I had to say it was time to make them change. We looked through our pages of leaves and found the one that would be perfect for the next step. I then put glue in the center of Selena’s green leaves, and gave her a bowl of colored wood chips. She filled all the leaves in with the colored chips. We did have to pour some back off since she not only filled the leaves in but piled them up.

We allowed them to dry, then enjoyed our colored leaves.
