Out of the Mouth of Babes

As of late there are a few things that have just consumed Selena's attention, one is the sound of trains in the distance and the other is bicycles and the sound of motorcycles. She stops what ever she is doing and instantly runs to the window when she hears these familiar sounds and laughs with joy. She loves to watch kids riding their bicycles and is insistent that for Christmas she is going to get a bicycle of her own.

Tonight at dinner she was saying grace before we ate:

"Dear God, Dear Jesus" (she has to get both in there) "Thank you for the food, thank you for the sunshine, Bless you, and thank you for making everything bicycles. Amen."

If you can't guess just as she was going to say "thank you for making everything beautiful" two motorcycles went speeding up the road in front of our house. It was all Michael and I could do to not laugh, nor correct her. We sucked in our laughter, praised her on such a nice prayer, and waited for her to go to bed so we could really have a good laugh.

  1. This is too cute!! I love this. So funny how their attention is diverted so quickly.

My Joe has to get both "God and Jesus" in there too:-).
