Selena’s world is turning upside down. It all started when the crew came out to paint the outside of our house. She didn’t want them to paint as she didn’t want her little house to change color.
We’ve been looking for a larger house for sometime. We found one and will be moving this month. We found an older 3 bedroom farm house on 5 acres right here near town. We just went to confirm everything last night. Selena loved running through all the rooms, and running the huge yard and even thought it was cool that there is some horses next door.
However, we do have one problem, she doesn’t want to move. No matter how many times we have explained that Pal, and all our furniture will come with us, she just doesn’t understand. She just knows we are going to move her into this huge empty house and leave all her stuff in the old little house including Pal. Her words, “But my little house has my computer, TV, and all my furniture, oh and Pal, I don’t want to move to a larger house!” She will figure it out as we begin the move process.
I must say I am so excited, this house is something to be seen. The living room is huge with a built in shelves across one entire wall, with glass doors on them. One end of the dining area is the same way. There is even a built in desk in the living room with lots of drawers and cupboard space. Every bedroom has built in cabinets above and on either side of the huge closets. The kitchen is large too with so much more cupboard space.
It has a wrap around porch, with one end partially enclosed. Two huge picture windows over looking all the pastor down below. I will get pictures just as soon as I can to share. We truly feel so blessed to have this opportunity to move our sweet Selena into a home where she will finally have space to get out and be a kid.
Oh, your house sounds so wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteWell you had me at the "horses next door!!" Debbie this house sounds FANTASTIC!! The cupboards, the porch, the acreage . . . WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!! Bless Selena- she'll love it once you get moved!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I can't wait to see pictures of your new home.
ReplyDeleteMoving is so hard on children. It took Crumpet a full year to recover from our move to Hawaii. But that was a much bigger change. Selena will be ok once all of her things arrive at the new place. It sounds like a wonderful house. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds wonderful! I've always wanted a wrap around porch. Not that the weather is good here for that 6 months out of the year.....
ReplyDeleteIt sounds great! Congratulations, and good luck with all of the moving preparations...moving is rough!
ReplyDeleteOh, how exciting! Selena will learn so much during this move! I almost wish Anna were older when we moved. She doesn't remember anything about our previous house.
ReplyDeleteMy kids all had a hard time when we moved (18 months ago) and they still talk about the old house even though this house is bigger, they have a play room now, we live right next to the elementary school, and there are tons of kids in this neighborhood. Moving is hard for kids.
