Vacation and More

We are preparing to leave Friday for our vacation. We are headed to Newport, WA, then will return to Spokane for a few days before coming home. My brothers have planned a camping trip and mini reunion for just us siblings, which is truly a need for us, considering it has been 10 years since we have all been in the same place at the same time. The last time we were all together was at our mom’s funeral.

There has been so much going on in our world the last week as we have tried to get to this point. Selena had a birthday party for a friend to go to. Once we were finally able to address her fears and worries, she went and had a lot of fun. While she has been to other birthday parties, this one was her first that was not at a friend of the family, and her first to go to without us.

Besides what we have had to do  here at home we received news that the foster family that has our grandson has decided after 13 months that he needs to be moved. This has brought so many different feelings for myself. If you remember I put a lot of time and effort into hand picking this family for him, never in my wildest dream did I ever think they would pull this. The reasons for their decision truly are not totally clear, and are very confusing, but we are taking some peace in the relationship we have with the Social Worker on the case and trust that she will find the perfect permanent family.

On some other news, Papa will be able to come back from vacation and begin his new position. They finally hired someone to replace him, he will have to train her, but during this time he will be in the full capacity of his new job title and position.

I have excepted a position working with our Landlord to take over the paper work side of property management. I will be able to work from home and around our homeschooling. While I have done some work already I don’t officially start until we come home from vacation.

We will have plenty to share from our vacation fun when we return.
