One day while out playing I knew that Selena was keeping very busy over by her swing set but I just didn’t take time to go see what she was doing. I figured so long as I knew where she was there was no problem right. I got quite a surprise when I took Pal out for a walk that evening. Guess what I found.
About the time I discovered this all over my grass, Selena appeared. I asked her if Papa had pulled weeds, she informed me that no she had done all of this. She added “No more weeds are suppose to grow in the rocks!”
There was only one thing left to do, she now had to finish her job.
She had to pick them all up and take them down and spread them around in the tall grass near the pasture so our landlord can pick them up when he comes in to mow.
Oh and by the way if you haven’t noticed by this time, Selena is a true farm girl at heart, she won’t even wear shoes as she runs around in the yard, the rocks, and around the paved areas around the house. She is my barefoot farmer all the way.
I am linking this up at Adventures in Mommydum, since it took great Science on Selena’s part to know what was weeds and what wasn’t.
My little ones love to pull weeds, but T (14) dreads the task, so enjoy it while it lasts!!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so happy!
ReplyDeleteShe really does enjoy her new life! She also looks so grown up in these pictures.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing as Natalie - Selena has grown since you moved!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else, she's grown so much since she moved......
ReplyDeleteSilence is never golden at my house.....
