I had intended on teaching her this concept when JC was older but I guess you can start young as long as it's a game for the child. I love how it began as a natural discovery from Selena!Joyful Learnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06428785096597190176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8988931737585001828.post-66867729865414334282010-09-13T20:08:16.774-07:002010-09-13T20:08:16.774-07:00Great idea, and very clever girl! I should dig it out and see if it helps my son with that lesson - he definitely doesn't know about splitting a rectangle into two squares, square into two triangles, etc. yet. And I'm pretty sure he has never heard of a trapezoid. (Fancier shapes are on my list of things to teach). :)Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07309501483266246859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8988931737585001828.post-63071358649057428742010-09-13T07:05:06.707-07:002010-09-13T07:05:06.707-07:00Great exercise. You might want to read "The Greedy Triangle" - it plays with this idea.Natalie PlanetSmartyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531558038661679151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8988931737585001828.post-10565064029549514202010-09-13T06:51:29.688-07:002010-09-13T06:51:29.688-07:00We are going to be working with squares this week,...We are going to be working with squares this week, too!
